Open Standards
CSW is committed to the use of open information standards throughout its e-records products and services and actively participates with various standards organisations and industry bodies including:
- Health Level Seven (HL7)
- ISO/IEC JTC1 SC34
- OASIS
- Intellect UK
Our Case Notes product for shared care records management and KMS product for content and knowledge management have been designed from the outset to use the standards for open government mandated by the Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF) published by the Cabinet Office eGU. CSW's technical teams are acknowledged as experts and opinion-leaders in the field of XML-based technology, HL7 and open standards and our healthcare implementations therefore set the standard for good practice in these areas.
Each year CSW also host the XML Summer School at the University of Oxford, where CSW staff and other world renowned experts in XML and related technologies share their knowledge on open standards with delegates from organisations across the UK and beyond. For further information click here.
